With Phase 2 came the reopening of many of our beloved restaurants, shops and the best of all; sports facilities! It has been heartening, every time I pass by a swimming complex, to see more and more parents bringing their children for swimming lessons once again.

Swimming Goggles

Do I need to say much? These are at the top of the list of needed swimming gears for a reason. Swimming goggles help you see clearly in the water, especially if you need spectacles or contacts to see clearly! Worried about the straps being uncomfortable? These straps are made of silicon and thus guarantees maximum comfort for your little ones! The lenses are also anti-fogging AND have UV protection. Still not impressed? These goggles are equipped with quick-adjustable straps which would allow for a good fit.

Swimming Cap

What’s equally as annoying as having bad vision underwater without goggles? Having hair in your face and water in your ears! Swimming caps are designed to take care of that. There’s a plus as well, it keeps your hair dry.

Ear Plugs

Is your child more susceptible to swimmers’ ear or are you simply eager to ensure your child’s utmost safety? Ear plugs are the way to go! They ensure 0 or minimal water entering the ears, especially when paired with swimming caps.

Nose Plugs

Water keeps getting in your nose while swimming, to the point of discomfort? While you're mastering breath control, using a nose plug can greatly help avoid these situations. Also, if you're an intermediate swimmer and want to extend your underwater dolphin kick off the walls, this item will be of huge help!

Anti-fog Spray

Now, THIS is an item I wish I had gotten when I was swimming as a kid! I remember having to wipe off the condensation from my goggles every few minutes. It got in the way of how fast I could actually swim. With this spray, you can focus solely on swimming and not worry about bumping into other people. Just apply it onto your goggles, ensure even coating and ta-da! Easy to use and long-lasting vision guaranteed!

Now onto swimming aids! If your kid has just started attending swimming lessons and you’re wondering how you could prepare them for the lessons, these will be of great help! These are also aids that can be used to boost your kids’ confidence in water!

Noodle Float

These are great for beginner swimmers who’re just learning to swim. It’s also the best aid to keep you afloat in a vertical position. And guess what, they can also be used for water aerobics!

Kickboard

If you child needs a boost while mastering swimming techniques like the breast stroke or side stroke, the kick board is perfect. It provides the right amount of buoyancy support needed to keep you afloat while you swim!

Safety Belt Back-float

Want to practice your kicks while also getting some support? The back-float is for you! It’s designed to help you get more confident swimming in a horizontal position while allowing freedom for more movement in your legs and arms. Also, you should note that this comes in a pack of 4 removable back floats which means you can adjust accordingly to the amount of buoyancy support needed! Fantastic isn’t it?!

Pull Buoy

Are you more of an intermediate swimmer and want to build upper body strength? You might want to consider this item! This helps keep your legs afloat so that your concentration can be on your upper body movements instead.

Mesh Bag

& Of course… we need a bag to carry all these items don’t we?! Here’s where the Mesh Bag comes in handy! It’s big enough to store all the items above securely, yet a comfortable size to carry. The Mesh Bag is sold together with both the Starter and Intermediate Kits so if you’re planning on getting most of the individual items above, you might want to get the kits instead!

Conclusion

Now that you’re all set, you may set off with the kids for swimming lessons in peace, knowing you have everything you’ll ever need. Oh wait, you aren’t enrolled yet?! Engage one of our private swimming instructors for lessons, we’ll sort it out right away!
