Baby Swimming Lessons

Baby swimming lessons are traditionally one of the hardest to coach. At this age, babies are yet to develop vocabulary or language skills needed to interact or communicate with the swimming coach. As such it is important that one should only engage an experienced coach in this genre to prevent any mishandling of this age group.

Other than simply learning the infant-specific drills to organize a class, our coaches are trained under the sports sciences prevalent in Early Childhood Development. 

Communicating with babies itself is an art, and being able to design appropriate skills specific to their age is even harder.

This is because at this age, babies traditionally find it hard to understand simple instructions by the coach. They can neither express themselves fluently, or have the physical strength to demonstrate complex skill sets.

Our baby swimming lessons aim to prepare and ease the child into learning of proper swimming strokes in the Swimray Aquatic Roadmap. 

With a good foundation established during the classes, they would be able to pick up strokes at a much faster rate during kids swimming lessons when they grow older.

Many inexperienced swim instructor do not know how to balance these 3 aspects for baby swimming lessons. As children under the age of 3 may not be eloquent enough to voice their fears and dislikes.

Thus more often than not, the child is either having a lot of fun during these private swimming lessons but not improving, or they may be reluctant to go for classes.

Yet young children find it very challenging to do so as being surrounded by water is not their natural environment. They tend to seek a “get-out” card with their parents which stops their learning.
